TLDH - Remastered - Version 0.2.3:

- Writing improvements for the jungle completed, remastering endings 2,8 and 9
- Added a new optional area: The Swamp with a Dragon ending, both ending and Area still to be remastered.

We plan for the swamp to a bunch of naughty Lamia as well as a cute tentacle encounter, we came up with on a random artistic stream, right now, but still need the cute tentacle sprite for that, so thats coming soon to add to the swamp.

  1. Found this a few days ago, have been waiting for today's update to comment.

    First off, this is one of my favorite games. I hadn't played the original until after I found this one, and then checked out it quickly. Didn't get very far since this is such a huge improvement. I see a ton of potential, so I hope your ambition will carry you through to the end of the project!

    I also see a lot of room for improvement. Please keep the above comments in mind as I list my opinions, what follows might be interpreted as harsh. I hope you don't see it that way!

    1. We can take criticism. Can you? Because truth of the fact is, unless you made your own rpg maker game, people vastly underestimate just how challenging it is, and often the answer is simply 'thats impossible/not worth the time'

      I do agree that the original stands more on nostalgic value, it was my, Devas, first game project after all.

    2. Though I am intimately familiar with versions of RPG Maker dating back to RPGM2K, I have no intention of engaging in a pissing contest about who has more experience/skill creating games. I concede that to you whole-heartedly, so there's no reason to be defensive. However, I don't think that any of the suggestions I presented would constitute a massive investment in time/cost (save for the art assets, which I pointed out).

    3. Ah, good old RPGM2k. I forgot if I started working with that one, or 2k3. It's not all about time investment, its about what direction do we want the game to take? See the answers to your individual points.

  2. - I understand updating the art takes time and money, and the changes I've seen look great. Holding judgment until more art is in. But, I'm concerned about consistency from having multiple artists contributing to the project. Best example is different versions of Ayla in the status screen vs when you examine yourself, since these images are so "close" together. My opinion: I think that AyaYanagisawa's Ayla is "best" and she should be doing all of the art for the game, again, purely for consistency reasons.

    - Along similar lines, would love to see more Ayla in various stages of corruption... something you were probably already planning :) Goes back to that "art takes time and money" thing, so I'll leave it at that!

    - Would like to see a slow plant girl corruption. Maybe when the Plantgirls try to seed Ayla, it can setup a status effect which starts a corruption. If the seed isn't removed in time, it starts growing inside Ayla and changing her. Each time she's seeded, there's a chance for it to grow further. Something like that.

    - On that note, there's an issue where Ayla can get impregnated by a Breedersprout for the final time and then you save your game, not realizing you're doomed for a bad ending. Winning the fight and losing to a status effect you can't get rid of is a bad-feel. Losing progress because you haven't saved recently is infuriating.

    - It's fine to limit the amount of money in the game, at least early on, but it's also entirely possible to dig yourself into a hole by spending your money on things you didn't really need (like 120g to watch the scene at the inn). Would be nice if there were some way to farm money.

    - The same is true, to some extent, for experience. This isn't as big of a concern, and it is kind of nice being able to waltz through areas I've already cleared, but it does make it difficult to go back and enjoy being corrupted by, say, slimes once all of the slimes in the world are dead.

    - Related to that, if there are no encounters on the world map, one has to wonder why there's a map to explore?

    - Combat seems pretty well balanced right now. I do have a few minor concerns. Not enough stuff for Ayla to spend her MP on. Sure, she gets a heal spell that she can basically cast forever, so why not let her use TP for everything? Alternatively, cost it higher so that it doesn't feel quite as unlimited of a resource.

    - The hit randomly three times ability basically obsoletes the hit twice ability. I'd suggest having it hit everything once instead.

    - Kitty is basically the opposite. Why does she have TP if all of her abilities cost MP?

    - The events in the swamp area seem to be working fine. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of Ayla's catification! :)

    1. -jokes on you, Aya did all the pictures you see of the heroine. Just in a three year time period. Her artstyle improved as much as my gamewriting, I daresay.
      That said, we will update all the transformations with additional stuff soon too.
      For the rest: We intend to use different artists for different things, that way any inconsisterncy will have a narrative purpose.

      -yes, and yes, takes time and money, become our patron on patreon to assist. :P

      -I think the plantgirls got enough love with this update. If you wish to request more.. also patreon, $5 alone would be enough to do something like you suggest... though its very similiar to the breeder sprout, it'd prolly request you hold that idea for a latter enemy, theres enough other monstergirls coming.

      -Save early, save often, save in multiple slots.

      -I don't want a way to farm money, to maintain a good challenge. I've heard a request for more money before, I think I'll give a little more starting gold in easy mode next update.

      -I will not do respawning enemies. If you wanted to get snagged by slimes shouldn't have killed them all, infact, I very much welcome this moral message, as you'll find out in time when you play the game more(see the humanity axis in the status screen. ^^)

      -Your next question is self explanatory. read what you asked a few times.

      -The heal spell is still being balanced right now, pending feedback, yours is noted.

      -The hit three random strike is Aylas core attack, and not only cause I read too much angel sanctuary. But you don't always want to randomly attack. Later there will be enemies to prioritze, that said, we are still balancing things.

      -good point. removing tp from kitty

      -As criticicism goes I've had far worse and unconstructive ones.

    2. I for one, love the fact that grinding isn't a feature. Some rpgs try and inflate it's length with nigh endless grinding. I'm truly glad that this game doesn't make me fight the same goddamned enemies over and over and over again.

    3. If you aren't seeking out the fight for naughty booty, then theres no point to them. To be fair, the grinding games length extension -works- in a lot of sucessful games, but I dislike it myself, so.. yeah.

  3. Thanks for the update...

    Question: Is there a list of possible endings?

    It's been years since i played the original, but i thought there was a path were you could get corrupted and play for the demons, attacking towns.. or am i getting that confused with another game?

    1. There is a list for the original, Azerak has been renumbering them, but there will be a new one. What you mention sounds like a bad ending at the late mid to end game of the original, not in yet by far.

  4. The game is realy great and I'm glad to hear that you rewrite the bad endings. They have so much potential but a lot of them dont use it. The tentacle ending (in slime cave) is one of the best so far.

    But I think the breeder sproud ending isnt consistence. In fight she gets aroused and than she is shocked to be imprisoned. She shouldnt be. should she ?

  6. Btw maybe you should give the Kittengirl a Surrender Ability too. Or if main character surrenders all party member surrender also
